BOSTON — State Representative Bud Williams, who represents Massachusetts’ Eleventh Hampden District, has endorsed U.S. Senator Ed Markey in his bid for re-election.

He also serves on the House Committee on Ways and Means and the Joint Committees on Education, Ways and Means, and Economic Development and Emerging Technologies. Williams is an outspoken advocate for public education, gun control, equal economic opportunity, and combating the opioid crisis.
“Throughout his career, Representative Williams has been a champion for working families,” said Markey. “He has been a leader in improving public education in the Commonwealth to ensure that our children have the opportunity to succeed. I am proud to have his support.”
“Senator Markey has dedicated his life to being a bold and progressive public servant and has proudly represented the Commonwealth at both the state and federal level,” said Representative Williams. “I am pleased to endorse Senator Markey for re-election and I am confident that another term as Senator will benefit not only his constituents in the Eleventh Hampden District, but across Massachusetts and this nation.”
Senator Markey has served in the United States Senate for the last six years, and is widely regarded as the leading member of Congress on environmental issues. He has also led legislation to protect consumers and address the opioid epidemic, internet privacy concerns, and net neutrality.
